What to know

The city said Waste Connections would become its solid waste provider beginning Oct. 1, 2026, and all residents within city limits would transition service. [1]

Existing account information would not transfer automatically; every customer had to establish a new Waste Connections account, and residential customers could set up service by phone or online. [1]

Residents were told to contact Al Clawson Disposal to end service at the end of September and get cart-removal instructions. [1]

The city advised not ending current service before Oct. 1 to avoid a gap. [1]

Residential customers would receive one 95-gallon trash cart and one 95-gallon recycling cart; additional carts were available for a charge. [1]
