The Liberty Hill community celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 1976 International Sculpture Symposium during its Oct. 10 Sculpture Festival at Lions Foundation Park, according to an Oct. 16 report.
A Sept. 25, 2026 Liberty Hill Independent report said the new Whataburger at 12925 Hwy. 29 in the Heritage Ridge development is set to open Oct. 19. The report also said the restaurant is adjacent to an under-construction Panda Express.
A Target spokesperson said the new 148,000-square-foot store in Liberty Hill is scheduled to open October 11, 2026. The location at 351 N. U.S. 183 is expected to create more than 200 jobs and include a Starbucks, CVS Pharmacy, and Apple section.

As of a June 18, 2026 report, the Liberty Hill Public Library District was in the midst of its annual dinosaur-themed Summer Reading Program, "Red, Roar & Explore," scheduled to run through July 15 with free events planned across June and July.
According to reporting published May 22, 2026, the City of Liberty Hill announced plans for the former Parker's Corner Market property to serve as "Parker's Mercantile," a temporary downtown activation space while long-term redevelopment continues. Under a lease agreement, the city partnered with Mike Farr, owner of Wish Kitchen & Bar, on the community-focused venue. The report said Parker's Mercantile was expected to open on weekends later in summer 2026.

An April 24, 2026 What Now Austin report described plans for a La Tequila Jalisco location in Liberty Hill at 13800 W State Hwy 29, based on a TDLR filing. The report said the filing covered new construction of a 3,400-square-foot restaurant, with work expected to run from July 30, 2026, until March 19.
