Liberty Hill Municipal Court Publishes Deferred Disposition Eligibility Affidavit

The Liberty Hill Municipal Court provides a deferred disposition eligibility affidavit and mail-in request form for traffic citations, listing eligibility and disqualification rules.

This story describes the linked reporting. It does not confirm that a planned opening, estimated date, or proposed project has since happened.

What to know

The affidavit covers deferred disposition of a traffic citation without a court appearance under Standing Order #8. [1]

Eligibility requires a request before the pretrial or trial date, a valid driver's license, proof of financial responsibility, and age 25 or older, or 17-24 with an approved driver safety course. [1]

Disqualifiers include commercial driver's licenses, construction-zone offenses with workers present, passing a school bus or emergency vehicle, school-zone or 20-mph-over speeding, and a deferral in any court within 12 months. [1]

The mail-in request form provides for a guilty or no contest plea, a jury trial waiver and a 90-day deferment request. [2]

The court's deferred disposition page says the special expense fee equals the maximum fine plus court costs, paid at the time of request. [3]
